I began my educational career in Cahokia School District 187 in 2006 as a high school teacher at Cahokia High School. I spent five years teaching physical education and health education before accepting my first assistant principal position at Cahokia High School in 2011.  In 2017, I became the building principal of Maplewood ElemeSchroeder ntary School.

My educational experiences have afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and student success. My educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from McKendree University in 2005.  I then returned to McKendree University where I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2009.

I am married to Andrew Schroeder, who is also an educator, and a mother to Jackson (age 11) and Ella (age 8). I enjoy St. Louis Cardinals Baseball as well as most other sports, traveling, and outdoor activities. I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog Cocoa.

I love being able to work with the amazing students of Cahokia School District and I hope to influence them is a positive way.
